The Team
ROB ANDERSON
Chief Executive Officer and Lead Visionary
Rob graduated under full academic scholarship in business management from Capilano University. He has 20 years experience in hospitality management working with some of Canada’s most recognized brands and owned three highly successful restaurants which he ultimately sold to the Browns Restaurant Group and Sammy J Peppers. During Rob’s time in the restaurant industry he discovered there was a missing element to inventory, ordering and accountability. He left the front lines of the hospitality industry, and founded a successful and innovative inventory software company specializing in the food and alcohol service industry, with customers including the Federal Government of Canada and some of Canada’s largest restaurant chains. Rob is a team leader who has managed over 1,500 employees and successfully serviced $100+ million businesses on both the private and government levels. With experience in the cannabis industry under MMAR and ACMPR regulations, and with his ability to identify and recruit experts in both the cannabis industry and in business in general, Rob founded CannaWorks.
When not at CannaWorks, you may find Rob wakesurfing on a nearby lake, sampling wine at one of the many world class wineries in the Okanagan Valley, or discovering new roads on his Harley.
PAUL RUNDLE
Alternate Responsible Person
Paul has lived in the Okanagan for the last 20 years. He has an extensive sales background with years of international trade shows. Paul has also worked in the high paced energy drink market sector which is where he met Rob Anderson and they formed a bond that has lasted almost two decades. Before cannabis, Paul spent a few years in the wine industry working in multiple areas of an award winning winery. Paul takes a hands on approach and likes to learn every aspect of the industry he is involved in. In the cannabis industry, Paul has been a part of grassroots growing, as well as worked at the retail level opening and managing Provincially licensed retail stores in BC, and managed a team of over 100 people at CannaWorks. Paul has a diverse experience with both end use customers and peers alike and prefers a lead by example approach to team leading.
In Paul’s off time you may find him hitting the fairways in the summer or on the water, and then blazing down the slopes in the surrounding mountains in the off season.
Wade has been in the cannabis industry for over 20 years working in the MMAR and ACMPR programs. With 17 years experience, Wade got his first job with a commercial Licenced Producer in 2017 where he was hired as the senior cultivation manager. Wade worked there for 3 years managing 10 rooms of indoor production as well as their greenhouse and outdoor field projects. His passion for small, tight knit teams with his lead-by-example management style led Wade away from the large corporate public company structure, to seek more of private family style corporation. During the next two years, Wade worked at a cannabis nursery and an indoor facility, before coming to CannaWorks to oversee our 26 acres of cultivation. Wade’s positive attitude and team leadership, along with his ability to handle large teams and high-pressure situations, has made him a natural fit within our family environment at CannaWorks where everyone does whatever it takes to put out the best product possible. When Wade is not at work, he enjoys building cars and enjoying the family life with his kids.
